Our Story

Welcome to Federal College of Education Gwoza, Borno State, Nigeria.

Federal College of Education Gwoza is among the newly established Colleges of Education by the Federal Government in April, 2023. The Federal Colleges of Education Act No 43, 2023 was signed into law by Mr. President on 12^th June, 2023 and gazetted on 24^th July 2023.

Gwoza is one the twenty-seven Local Government Area of Borno State, strategically located in the southeastern part of the state.

The Federal College of Education Gwoza, was established with a visionary mandate: to advance, strengthen, and democratize access to teacher education across Nigeria. Its foundation seeks to address and alleviate the persistent barriers that hinder many Nigerians from obtaining quality professional training in education. Although the College is currently in its nascent stage, we are steadfast in our belief that great institutions often rise from modest beginnings. With unwavering faith and dedication, we aspire by the grace of Almighty God to become a beacon of excellence and a national leader in the field of teacher education.

We extend an open invitation to all stakeholders, partners, and well-meaning individuals to join us in actualizing this transformative vision.
